ALEX IS TWO? WHAT??!?!?!

Um, so yeah. September 16th, 2013. Alex was born. Now it's two years later. And he's TWO YEARS OLD. We celebrated his birthday Labor Day weekend, because a bunch of family was in town for Kayla and Anthony's wedding (Kayla is Michael's cousin). Michael's parents were here, Matthew, Lori & kids were here (brother and sister-in-law), and we had Grammy-Great, Aunt Tara, and Kayla's kids come as well. It was SO MUCH FUN. We went out to Great's house in Stockton, UT and hung out in her yard all day. It was relaxed, chill, and just so much fun. In my opinion, it was the best kind of party.

Alex seems to be a little shy with the spotlight, but he was a good sport. Thankfully he didn't scream while we sang "Happy Birthday" to him (lately, he's been screaming at us when we sing songs, depending on the song/his mood). He was totally down for opening presents, and it was the cutest thing to see all his cousins helping out!! Alex would open a present and want to play with it, but as soon as it was open Ethan and Cooper were right there with the next present. It was so great! They were so sweet, and SO EXCITED that someone was opening presents.

Alex got the perfect gifts. Big boy water bottles, wood puzzles, Despicable Me 2, and lots of cars. Grammy Great got him a big monster truck that drives on its own, and the kids had fun chasing it all around her yard. Michael went down the hill and got some great shots of them running down, chasing it :)

A few updates with Alex:

-He's starting to talk A LOT. Dude, hearing him say "penguin" and "monkey" is seriously the cutest thing in the entire world. I can't even handle it. He's starting to copy/repeat things that you say, and is definitely more interested in speaking.
-He loves to be a big helper for his mommy (that's what I'M talking 'bout!)
-He's so smart, and really particular about how he does things (such as organizing his cars, completing puzzles, choosing a movie or clothes, etc.)
-He's still kind of a stinker about sleeping, but for the most part he's pretty good.
-He still loves his baby and gives her lots of snuggles and kisses.
-We're starting to have to discipline him more, and if he throws something at Myra or hits her he says sorry and gives kisses to her and me ;)

And now, the moment you've all been waiting for: PICTURES!!!

So funny story about this delicious cake that Michael made...he found the recipe on Pinterest and as he started making it, he realized it called for freshly brewed coffee! OOPS! So, he used hot chocolate instead. So resourceful ;)

All cousins are involved when presents are involved :)
It was so fun watching them all play together!
